We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Auckland team.

The role

Responsibilities include budget preparation, management and submission of priced schedules of quantities, project administration and the management of the financial performance of our projects. In this role you may also assist the estimating team in the preparation of tender submissions. In addition, you will be responsible for administering work plans, preparing, reviewing and negotiating variation prices and cost reporting.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Managing financial performance, cash flow and construction project changes
  • Assisting with preparing and finalising tender submissions
  • Building and maintaining professional and reciprocal relationships with clients, sub-contractors, consultants and key stakeholders
  • Control and management of project profit margins and maintaining positive cash flows
  • Produce supporting documentation and accurate reporting around project financial performances

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • Recognised and relevant professional QS qualification
  • Proven problem solving ability and good decision making skills
  • 5 + years' experience in quantity surveying
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Previous commercial construction experience is desirable
  • Ability to build good rapport and relationships
