We are currently seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Technician role to support and assist our IT Desktop Analyst Support Analyst with day to day IT support and operations. The role will involve providing help desk support, producing documentation around policy and processes, ensuring new and existing users are fully equipped to operate effectively. You will also be required to report on faults, test fixes, configure printers and routers and ensure our systems are well maintained and supported. This role will require you to work independently, be self-sufficient and proactive. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience in a demanding and challenging environment.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Providing IT support and assistance to IT Desktop Analyst
  • Set up, support and maintenance of MS desktops and laptops
  • Diagnosing and resolving 1st line technical issues
  • Manage processing of incoming calls to the help desk via telephone and email
  • Assisting with and preparing documentation in relation to IT
  • Assisting new users in initial set up of IT, work stations and communication devices
  • Intranet updates and liaising with vendors and IT providers

 

Skills and experience required

  • Previously demonstrated IT helpdesk support experience  
  • Qualification or certification in ITIL, MCP or CompTIA Network+
  • Excellent Microsoft windows desktop and server experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously and maintain a strong eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised, flexible and the ability to work under pressure
